Ramakatha – Ek Kalatmak Aayaam

The Ramayana epitomizes the heroic deeds of Rama, an incarnation of Vishnu. Tulsidasa’s Ramacaritmanas in Hindi opens a door through the medium of story to an inner world of emotions which can be well projected by classical dancers. It continues to be a ‘sourcebook’ of India’s spiritual and cultural heritage.

The great epic Ramayana is a treasure for the artist to perform and depict its multifaceted elements. Lord Rama is one of humanity’s enduring spiritual treasures who cultivated the human expression in relationship.

We are performing few episodes from Ramacaritamanas to mark the beauty of Lord Rama, as a young child, a prince who sees Sita for the first time, Sita’s emotional feelings after seeing Rama’s sukumara outlook for the challenging task of breaking Lord Shiva’s dhanush, Maryada Purshottam Rama who spends his life in Panchvati to fulfill the aim of his incarnation and moving towards the end of his journey to Lanka to bring back the Janaka dulaari, Sita.
