Hope all of you and your families are practicing safe distance and taking good care! May Sri Kameshwari Devi usher her blessings to each of you!
Our Siva Kameshwari Temple is continuing with daily full-fledged spiritual events, although the temple is not open for the public. Daily poojas and services are available online.
The current unprecedented situation has brought our temple donation stream to a grinding halt and has created a tremendous financial strain. We have many fixed expenses (temple rent aline $12K +utilities, salaries, puja items, etc.) At a bare minimum, we need $20,000 per month to maintain the status quo. Please support our very own temple for these 3 months via a $60,000 special donations fundraise. Any amount you send will go a long way! We will pray on behalf of every donor.
Please forward this message and the link to your friends and families. Please HELP us! We will update you with the progress of our fundraiser.

Vasanth Panchami is celebrated on the fifth day after the New Moon, in the month of Magha (January – February). It marks the advent of spring in Northern parts of India and is celebrated as the season of growth and prosperity. It is also believed that Goddess Saraswati – the Goddess of learning, wisdom, knowledge, arts, and music – incarnated on this day.

Legends has it that, Kalidasa was born a simpleton and was tricked into marrying a princess who didn’t respect him. A crestfallen Kalidasa tried to end his life. Just then, goddess Saraswati appeared before him and asked him to take a dip in the river. Kalidasa did as he was told, and emerged from the water an intelligent, knowledgeable and cultured person, who went on to become a renowned poet of all times. Since then this day came to be auspicious for the worship of goddess Saraswati seeking that She may bestow the gift of knowledge to her devotees.
Aksharabhyasam is usually performed on a day according to the birth star of the children. However, on Vasanth Panchami it is considered highly auspicious to perform Aksharabhyasam for all children irrespective of their birth star. Children can participate and perform special Saamuhika Saraswati Puja, at the temple along with their parents, under the guidance of the priests. Please use the link to register your names. Advance registration for this Saamuhika event helps organize the event better.
