Durga Maataki Chowki  | Every First Saturday of the Month  | 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Maa Durga is the epitome of bravery and with all her extraordinary features, she gives the message of never giving up at any stage of life. Fear of failure and fear of facing the darkness falls in coward. However, Maa Durga encourages each one to be bold in terms of actions and always be proactive in approach. She gives the message of being immersed in the remembrance of God to all humankind.

Maa Durga is the embodiment of divine energy and creative power. Maa Durga reigns as the Mother Goddess, amongst the Goddesses worshiped by Hindus. Although there are innumerable forms of Goddesses and ultimately all are one, yet Durga-form is the most popular one. In Vedic Mantras, the mother is the Prime God. Mother not only creates a child from her body and energizes but becomes the biggest and the most effective teacher of her child to mould his future. It is revealed that without her even lord Shiva is a lifeless Body [Shav].

Mata Ki Chowki
Mata Ki Chowki is a religious get-together, through Chowkis. Mata Ki Chowki is short-time kirtan that can be performed at any time throughout the day, any time of the year. In Mata Ki
Chowki, the group preaches about Mata, sings “Jagrata” and motivates devotees all over the world to pay their respects through their prayers. This program can be organized on happy occasions such as Weddings, Engagements, Birthdays, Anniversaries, or during Ganpati and Navratri festivals. We start Chowki with Ganpati, Navagraha, and Mataji’s Pooja. And then we light the Mataji’s Akhand Jyoti with chanting of Langar Vira. Then we start Mataji’s Bhents (Devotional songs) one by one those who like to sing. Then comes an offering of Garlands and Mataji’s Bhet (Colored Chunni, coconut, fruits, and Shingar Material along with some Donation (in Cash). Then we do Ardass (Offering your Offerings as Donation to Maa Durga) done by all devotees. Then we offer at last Mataji’s Aarti and distribute Prasad to all and complete the Mata Ki Chowki.
