Vaikuntha Ekadashi Celebrations

Thursday, Janauary 9th, 2025

Namaste,

The Sivakameswari Temple is inviting you all for its annual Sri Pushpa Yagam to Lord Venkateswara along with his consorts in the observance of “Vaikuntha Ekadashi.” All the details for the program are given in the table above. On this day, Tirumajanam and Archana to Lord Venkateswara, Sri Devi, and Bhoo Devi will take place in the morning. These deities are then seated on a special Altar in the Temple. Later in the evening, there will be Archana with different varieties of flowers. After the Archana, there will be Kirtan, Aarati, Teertha Prasada, followed Dinner Prasad.

All the devotees can participate in this Puja by sponsoring this event. It is said that this festival is performed to save the Earth from natural calamities and appease the Lord to save humanity and all living creatures from catastrophes.

In the scriptures, it is said that the those who participate in this Seva will be rid of all impressions of their past lives and all diseases, thus leaving scope for a peaceful life with prosperity and happiness. According to the scriptures, performing Pushpa Yagam is equal to performing an “Ashvamedha Yaga,” conferring good progeny, riches, peace, and finally Moksha.
