Akasha Dīpam: The Sacred Lamp Offered to the Sky
Akasha Dīpam is the lighting of a sacred lamp and offering it to the open sky in the name of Lord Śiva. This beautiful and ancient tradition is especially observed during Kārthika Masa, when lighting a lamp is said to remove past karmas, dispel darkness, and invite divine blessings.
The lamp is lit with pure sesame (til) oil or ghee and placed outdoors, symbolizing the offering of light to the entire universe.

- The lamp offered to the sky becomes a prayer to Lord Śiva, the Lord of all cosmic space (Ākāśa Tattva).
